Chateau Amboise

Tucked along the banks of the Loire River is the small town of Amboise, just about an hours ride on the TVG from Paris. Small streets with shops and cafes will entice you to stay for a while......a great stepping off point to visit the grand and magnificent chateauxs of the Loire Valley.

Oh my. These photos cheer me on this windy, dreary, snowy day. Thank you, Jann, you are so thoughtful.,

This is just what we need. La Belle France!

I have taken dozens and dozens of photos of French road signs just like this -- piled one on top of the other, as though at every intersection you are standing at the center of the universe! Love to see photos of beautiful, lush, green France on such a raw and rainy day here at home.

Love those little towns! Just no where else but France. Thanks for the short trip until I can return.

You just got me homesick! Amboise and its region are beautiful.

We were just there in October - did you see Da Vinci's grave?I had not known he was buried there.
